We all know that losing weight and living a healthier life is good for you, but in case you're still not motivated enough to take action, now we have more evidence.
According to a Columbia University study, overweight and obese women are, on average, sick or in poor health three years more over their lifetime than normal weight women. On average, heavy men are sicker for one more year than those men who are at a healthy weight. Even though that may not surprise you, I hope it serves as a powerful motivation for you to take action and embrace healthy living.
Not only does being overweight put out the welcome mat for sickness and an early death, it also puts an incredible strain on your spirit, negatively affects your self-image and puts a damper on your desire to engage in life. And this is no small problem, as one-third of Americans are overweight. The price they pay both physically and emotionally is extremely costly.
If you find yourself among this group and wanting to escape, I suggest you make today the day you begin living that new life. Your body and spirit will thank you and you will live a longer and healthier life as a result.
Wishing You Great Health,
Dr. John H. Sklare
